Offering from the well known Phillip Phillips collection a perfect Garnet Var. Spessartine on Microcline. No damage. Ex. Phillip Phillips collection acquired 12/4/2014 from J. Veevaert. The crystals are all well formed and sharp on all sided with the back displaying a bit of Microcline. Top notch luster and color. Mined from the classic Tongbei mining site, Yunxiao, Fujian Prov., China. 4.1 x 3.5 x 2.3 cm. Comes with 3 labels including the hand written Phillip Phillips label. Note this is a miniature not a thumbnail. Far too large for a perky box. So very good.
