Only found in Minas Gerais, Brazil, these spectacular Quartz gemstones contain microscopic inclusions of the rare copper sulphide mineral, Covellite. When the light reflects from the surface of these metallic inclusions a vivid pink shimmer travels across the surface of the gem in an effect known as schiller. The electric pink schiller effect seen in these rare gems is why some enthusiasts call them 'Pink Fire Quartz' or 'Tinkerbell quartz'.
