A blue Halite crystal from the now famous Carlsbad Potash district in New Mexico. This Halite has sharp faces and edges and measures 40 mm across by 22 mm by about 8 mm thick. This flattened cube of blue halite is transparent and displays a blue patches internally. These Halites are among best-of-species from the finds circa 2010-2012 found in a deep abandoned level of this large potash mine. Note that access is now prohibited and no more will be found or collected.
