Carrollite is a metallic sulfide of copper and cobalt, often with substantial substitution of nickel for the metal ions, and a member of the linnaeite group. Carrollite occurs in hydrothermal vein deposits. It is named after the type locality in Carroll County, Maryland, US. The crystal offered is very well formed and is from Kamoya South III mine, Katanga Prov., the Democratic Republic of Congo. 107.8 grams. 40 mm across. USA only
