A grade color change Fluorite. Sharp edge huge well formed twinned transparent crystals, the largest measuring 42mm alone. The majority of each prism is transparent and gemmy and the crystals display subtle color zoning in shades of emerald, spring leaf and yellowish green. When held in direct daylight the surfaces of the prisms turn stunning blackberry purple, especially the topmost faces where it would appear there is a greater concentration of rare earth elements (REEs). It is REEs which make Weardale Fluorite so fluorescent. Mined from the highly desirable Bypass Pocket, Diana Maria mine, Frosterley, Weardale Co., Durham, England. 3 inches across. 10.2 ounces. If you collect the finest this is a great fluorite
